What happens if I don't comply?

If you don't comply then quite simply, you are breaking the law, and you could end up facing a massive fine or even the loss of your liberty.

The law is designed for your safety and the safety of your tenants, so it simply makes sense to comply.

Your gas safety check needs to be completed on an annual basis. Arrange yours in Warrington now:

Peace of mind for landlords and tenants in Warrington

If you're a landlord, then it's your legal responsibility to make sure that your tenants are kept safe and free from preventable hazards, as dictated by The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. This includes all your gas fittings and appliances.

At David Sloan Gas we can check all of your gas fittings and appliances to make sure they comply with the necessary regulations. We can then issue you with a Landlord Safety Certificate.

How often do I need checks?

Gas safety checks need to be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer on an annual basis to make sure that all gas fittings and appliances are safe to use. You need to provide your certificate to your tenants within 28 days of the check being completed.

What do I need to check?

All pipework, appliances and flues must be maintained in a safe condition, and all gas appliances should be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. If you are unsure of how often your appliances should be serviced, ask our Gas Safe registered engineer today.
